Peabody’s signature International Festival returns on September 11, 2022!
Celebrating diversity through music, food, and art
About the International Festival
The International Festival is the largest festival of its kind and the signature event in Peabody for over 35 years. Dozens of civic organizations, nonprofits, local businesses, cultural groups, crafters and artisans line Downtown Peabody with delicious food and artwork inspired from places all around the world.
The Festival continues to attract between 50,000 and 80,000 people to Peabody Square. Popular bands and performance groups entertain the crowd, and a program designed specifically for kids makes this extremely popular festival in early September a real crowd pleaser.
Over the last two years, our community has changed and evolved due to Covid-19. The Festival will also have some changes, but we’re so excited to once again gather in Peabody Square to celebrate our diverse community.

With over 65 food booths, 35 local artists, and all-day musical entertainment
The International Festival boasts our rich ethnic heritage and diversity, with delicious food, good music, and a wonderful display of local artistic talent.
A Message from the Mayor
“The International Festival is the largest celebration of its kind on the North Shore. Free and open to the public, the Festival showcases Peabody’s rich ethnic diversity and strong community spirit.”
Mayor Edward A. Bettencourt, Jr.
